Bartolomeo Caruso takes over the Gioielleria Broletto, a historic goldsmith’s shop from the late nineteenth century located in the center of Milan.
The company is a sole proprietorship and the “core business” is the trading of gold and silver.

1973
Gianmaria Buccellati premia Bartolomeo Caruso

Gianmaria Buccellati, IGI president, awards Bartolomeo Caruso for his activity in the jewelry and gemology market

1981
The company changes its name to Boutique del Gioiello

1990
Rocco Caruso, Bartolomeo’s son, begins working in the family compay and begins the digitalization of business processes

1999
The company opens its first ecommerce website

2016
Rocco Caruso acquires 33% of the company

2017
The company registers the Bartolomeo Caruso brand in the jewelry category for the Italian and European markets

2018
Rocco Caruso takes control of the company with 95% of the shares and invests in CAD/CAM applications for the design of new jewelery lines

2021
The company registers the Bartolomeo Caruso trademark in the United States and presents its brand at the Milan Jewelry Week
